GOTHIC COUTURE

 Each issue of Models Magazine has a Styling Challenge feature.  This is where readers of the magazine are given the opportunity to be included in the magazine to present a fashion styling based on that issue’s challenge theme.  The challenge theme for the Models Magazine November/December 2023 issue was “Gothic Couture.”  This is the photo I submitted for that challenge.

!MUSA! AT MATSURI

!Musa!is part of the Creator's Collaboration Box this month, and the name of this round is Matsuri.

!Musa is presenting the Fluorite Eyes for this round. These eyes come in both classic system eyes and an Omega applier for all heads that use the Omega system, which includes my LeLutka Bento Cate head. I have chosen to wear the Hekate eyes. Not only are these eyes a beautiful color, but they are very befitting the subject of my photo, since Hekate is the Greek goddess of ghosts, necromancy, and sorcery.

STREETWEAR

Here is a streetwear look.

The top is a hoody from Infliction, the Destroy Hoodie. I got it in the Dirty Turkey Hunt last year. Yes, it really does have a hood!

The leather Cora Skirt is from Insanya. This skirt comes with a HUD. With this HUD, you can either show or hide the suspenders. I love the suspenders, so have not hidden them here. There are also two color options for the studded belt. There are ten options for the suspender style, including studded, camo, stars, and skulls. For this outfit, I have chosen the studded style to match the Spiked SnapBack cap from Forever Young. Here is what the Cora Skirt HUD looks like.

This Spiked SnapBack cap isn't just any ordinary cap! It comes with a HUD to change hat, brim, and bows colors, as well as an option for gold or silver spikes. There are five leopard print colors for the hat and brim, five camo colors for the hat and brim, and eight non-patterned colors, as well. There are eight solid colors to choose from for the bows. The HUD also has a resizer in it. Here is a look at the Spiked SnapBack HUD.

Both the Silver Studded Black Sneakers and the Eclipse Studs Black Bag are from United Colors. United Colors is a favorite store of mine because of the unique, quality designs that can be found there. You can't see the front of the purse in the above photo, so I am including a picture of it here.

The Leather Leg Bag from Rebellion is an SL Frees and Offers gift. It is a high quality leather belt bag made to be worn on the thigh. It has the winged skull symbol of the biker, and, even though I am not a biker, I like wings and I like skulls, so this still is a good combination for me. It is very handy for quickly slipping items into on the go.

AT SWANK: AFI DESIGNS, INDULGE TEMPTATION, SEMI PRECIOUS, LUNA BODY ART

AFI Designs is at Swank, and here is one of their presentations, the Flighter Dark outfit.  This outfit is designed for action! There is a crossed-guns emblem on the shoulder, a silver skull at the hip, and another, red skull with chevron at the right knee.  This design also comes in Khaki, which has different accent color and design.

The back is designed for easy movement during those especially close moments, with the cutouts and laces.

Here, you can see the details of the Indulge Temptation Spider Rain Necklace 3 and the Neela Antique Dark earring from Semi Precious.

The Spider Rain Necklace 3 comes with a texture-change hud that has ten metal options and twenty-four gem color options for both the spiders and for the other decorative gems woven into the necklace. It also allows for resizing.

The Neela Antique Dark has little red balls inside metal cubes. The Neela earrings also come in Gold Light, which have lilac balls inside the cubes.

21ST PAZZO OCTOBER STYLE CHALLENGE, ZOMBIE COUTURE (SECOND PLACE)

This was another fun challenge, the zombie couture. I decided to go with a more traditional, grass-roots zombie style. There were some very good styles in this challenge, and I was very happy to get second place!

This look is another one that has many individual parts coming together to make a whole that is smooth.  The VoodooDonna Dress by Purplemoon is a very unique creation that I just had to have when I saw it.

Here, you can see better the Trapped Soul necklace by Pucca Firecaster Creations.  Of course, I love anything crows and feathers, so I especially like this necklace, particularly in context to zombie culture.  And, I like the lip stitches by Underground because they are not a tattoo layer and impart realism into the look.

And, an absolutely perfect nail polish for this look, the Zombie Rot by Dark Passions Coffin Nails. You also have a closer look of the Raven Skull Ring by BC Jewelry.  This is a man's ring which I resized down to fit my Slink finger.
