Whimsical has just opened up again, and Stargazer Creations is there with the newest member of the family, the very adorable latex Dainne Dress.  There are seventeen amazing colors to choose from.  There is one color, the Candycorn, which you can see second from the right below, which is a free wearable demo.  That's right, it is a demo dress that you can try on for fit and keep to wear whenever you wish!

SOMETHING NEW DELIGHTS

I want to share some really nice items with you, starting with the Emilia top and skirt by Le Fil Casse, who is one of those stores I love because they are always creating cute and unusual things.  I love this two-tone, glittery fabric in pink and yellow, just the perfect combination for summer.  The top and skirt are sold separately, in case you should want to buy only one or the other.  These should be in the main store soon.

The frilled Nierembergia shoes from Empire come with a 20-color HUD to change the shoe base, as well as the individual ruffles, plus several metals options.  These cute shoes come in fits for Slink, which I am wearing here, Maitreya, and Belleza.

The adorable Slice Purse in Lilac is from LaGyo, yet another one of my favorite stores because of their unique creations.  There are several colors of this fun purse available, both with pose and without pose, which I am wearing here.

There is an adorable Lilac fruit Sorbet Necklace and Sorbet Earrings jewelry set to match the Lilac Slice Purse, too, and, of course, the jewelry sets come in several colors to match the Slice purses.  The necklace and earrings can be resized and re-positioned for the perfect fit.  You can see the set here:

Katat0nik is another of my favorite stores, and they recently released the wonderful Choco Rose Headdress.  This is a set that comes in both right and left pieces that can be worn separately or together.  I think the two pieces worn together make quite a statement.  I did not yet see the set in the main store, but it should be arriving soon from last month's Collabor88.

And, to perfectly complete my jewelry ensemble is the Rainforest Ring Set by Yummy, available for Slink, Maitreya, and Belleza Bento hands.  I am wearing the Slink edition here.  This rings set comes with different rings for the left and right hands, but I just love that beetle on the left hand.  Of course, the rings can be made invisible, as well.  You can find these rings at the current Collabor88.  During the event, individual color sets are available, but after the event, only the full color HUD set will be available, which you can see here:

STARGAZER CREATIONS AT THE FANTASY GACHA CARNIVAL

I am very happy to share with you the new creation by Stargazer Creations made for The Fantasy Gacha Carnival, the splendid Araquiel outfit.  Wearing it, I feel a bit like a Valkyrie, regardless of what other possible manifestations may exist for Araquiel.  This outfit can be used for many different scenarios.  Here, you can see my Valkyrie interpretation:

There are three ultra rares to win, and each one includes two outfits.  First, there is the ultra rare Darkness pack, which comes with the Steel outfit and the Onyx outfit. THE GIRL BEHIND THE CAMERA

I called this photo "The Girl Behind the Camera" because I almost exclusively take all my own photos. However, this is usually in a blogging or informational capacity. Today, the photo is about my new profile photo in Second Life.

Sometimes, I see something someone is wearing--an outfit, an accessory, a beautiful makeup, and I wonder where they got that...but, they have not given any information about what they are wearing, or using, or where to get it. Today, I have another wonderful creation by Celestinas Weddings, the Angel Nuriel Gown White and Gold. It comes in fittings for Maitreya, all the Belleza bodies, all the Slink bodies, one fitted mesh, and five standard sizes. It comes with an ear cuff, two rings, both fitted for Bento and classic hands, a head band, shoes for Maitreya, Belleza, and Slink, plus three styles of wings with resizer menus. This is a very complete package!

Celetinas Weddings also is offering the fantastic Courtyard of Heaven Set 2017, which includes a reception area, a gazebo, event tables and chairs with food and drinks menu, planters, trees, flowers, fountain, statuettes, stars, clouds, champagne, wrought iron fence, and hedges borders. All this comes in a rezzer box. In addition, it has a resizer menu. This is a very large setup that you can mix and match and use in many various ways.

MY ADVENTURES WITH LELUTKA CATE--THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY

Hello there!

I have been very busy as of late, but I finally am getting to the point of returning with some blogs.

One of the new things in my Second Life is my new Lelutka Cate Bento head, which I picked up at the recent Skin Fair and which is now available in the Lelutka store. I had waited with great anticipation for the new Bento releases, hoping I would be able to find something I liked that could be modified to resemble my current system look as much as possible, and that system look was achieved with many hours of work to resemble my basic first life facial features.

Here is the system look I had before the new Lelutka Cate Bento head:

With the sliders for the system shape, there were a number of limitations in what could be done, and the stretching could only go so far.

The sliders gave me a greater freedom to achieve the look I desired, allowing me to make more finely-tuned adjustments than the system sliders ever could. You can especially see this in the features of the nose, for example. I am part Native American, and I have a characteristic bump on my nose that reflects this. I have considered having it removed, but, then, it is part of my unique heritage, and to remove it almost feels like removing part of me. With my new Cate, I could recreate that bump much more accurately than with the system shape. I could have made the bump more pronounced, but opted for a lesser one.

I was quite happy with what I could achieve with my nose tip, as well.

My look definitely resembles my old system look, but I particularly appreciate the less-cartoony/more realistic, more natural, more smooth human look I was able to achieve with my new Bento head.

And, here is a completed look, with hair and makeup. I am very happy with my Lelutka Cate Bento head, indeed! I can still retain my basic system look while actually looking better than the system look ever could.

Now, I have to say here that I did not at all like the ears that came with the Cate head. They stuck out at a quite amazing angle, probably 45 degrees, I would say, giving a simian appearance to an otherwise very pleasing look. Fortunately, with the Lelutka HUD, it is possible to quickly and easily hide the ears, which I immediately did. I replaced them with mesh ears from Mandala, the Simple Hutuu ears. I had to manually set the color, which does not match perfectly, but works well enough, as you can see above.

Another thing I don't particularly like about the Lelutka head is that those items applied with Omega appliers seem to hang up when applying. Appliers made for Lelutka go on quickly and smoothly without glitches, while Omega appliers seem to require more effort to apply, and, even with the rerouter, often apply where I do not want them.

There was a very recent update to the Lelutka heads, making the current version the 2.7, which I am using here. With the current update, there are several new additions, including several teeth, braces, and eyes. I am using my usual Mayfly Luminous Mesh Eyes in Sea Green Shadow. I love the Mayfly eyes, with their many, many options, but the eyes and options in the Eyes tab on the Lelutka HUD are quite good. You can see that here:

In the Lelutka photos, I also am using the Lelutka hair base that comes in the HUD. I plan to get some additional hair bases as soon as time allows. I also am using some of the Lelutka eyelashes from the HUD.

In the system photos, I am using Belleza skin Nina Pale 0 with dark brows. Belleza only had one skin for Lelutka available, and the eyebrows on that were the trendy, thick, heavy brows that I don't care for. So, I went with a Glam Affair Skin, since the Maitreya body comes with Glam Affair already installed, and the fact that Glam Affair makes some beautiful skins. I chose the Luminay skin in Europa tone to wear with my new Cate head because it is subtle and smooth. This skin comes with an eyebrowless option which allowed me to find suitable eyebrows. I finally found some thin eyebrows at Sinful Curves Skins. I purchased the Classic Eyebrows Fat Pack that includes eight classic brows colors as well as eight appliers colors.

My eyeshadow is from Slackgirl, Cassandra, and my lipstick is from Alaskametro, Heat. I absolutely adore Alaskametro because it fits my lips shape very well and does not distort into big, bulky lips once applied.

I will note here that none of my friends, and not even my boyfriend, noticed that I had changed my head, even after I drew attention to that area (without telling them I had a new head.) My boyfriend did say that he noticed something seemed different, but thought it was my makeup. So, yes, I would say that the transition was really successful!

LUNA BODY ART AT THE BOND GIRLS EVENT

Posh Pixels has the very sophisticated and full Bella ensemble this month at Swank. This offer is filled with goodies, including jewelry, clutch, and shoes! This month at The Instruments, Luna Body Art has a sweet and delicate design just perfect for summer, the Blooming set for Slink hands and feet. LUNA BODY ART AT THE INSTRUMENTS

Another round of The Instruments just opened up, with the theme "Urban Code," and Luna Body Art has another fun, forte, and, may I say, racy, set of nails for us, the Urban set for Slink hands and feet. These bold polishes will compliment all the styles in your wardrobe while adding an extra dash of unique excitement.

Here, I am wearing the black/grey/white checkered set.

As usual, Luna Body Art has included ten different polishes in the Slink HUD, ranging from solid black to a purple-and-green check pattern. Here, you can see eight of the different designs available with the HUD.

LUNA BODY ART AT THE COLLECTORS

Luna Body Art has created another unique and fun set of nails for the newly-created bi-monthly event, The Collectors. You can find exclusive creations at this event, so it is a definite go-to.

When I saw the Slink nails Luna had created for this event, with their bold designs, I immediately knew there was a perfect gown for one of the sets, and that gown is the New Dawn on Fire gown from Purplemoon.

Here, you can see how well the nails match the gown. Not only do they match perfectly in color but in the color combinations, as well.

Here is a closer look at the nails so you can see more clearly the patterns and colors I chose for the gown.

Of course, Luna doesn't give just one set of nails, there are many choices. Here, I have made a nice arrangement with four of the nail polish choices available on the Metalika HUD for Slink nails.

And, again, another group, with four more of the polishes available.

There is only one option I didn't use above, since it was similar to the one I chose for the gown, and that is the one you can see in the upper right row in this picture of the Metalika HUD.

There are many fine creations at The Collectors event, lasting until April 15, but you certainly don't want to miss Luna Body Art's really unique and bold offering.

I love glitter, and I love unique, and this Deche Pelagic Gold gown gives me both, in abundance! The scallop design and slit on the side of the leg give this gown an extra dash of flash. There is an optional back piece, as well, which I have chosen to wear for the shoppers to see. This back piece gives even more flair to this exciting gown. Immediately, when I saw this gown, I knew I had to have it!

This gown comes in silver, as well. However, the gold and silver are available only in the fat pack of gowns, which includes blue, green, orange, pink, and purple, with a convenient HUD to quickly change between these colors. The gown comes in fitmesh, Belleza, Maitreya, and Slink. I am wearing the fitmesh.

Stebi is wearing 69 Park Avenue's Luck of the Irish suit that comes in a subtle green and gold plaid. This suit comes with several options. It has a gold shirt, without tie and with tie, either to wear alone or with the jacket. This outfit also comes with dress shoes, which Stebi is wearing.

The suit pieces come in a variety of sizing, including standard, fitmesh, and for the Slink mesh male body.

The gown has a very intricate and elegant back, and you can see that here, along with that amazing back piece.

The very fantastical Rainbows and Legends Fountain comes from 3rd Eye Perceptions, a newcomer to Swank. Well, they certainly made a fine impression with their first offering. This fountain is gorgeous, not to mention very practical, with two color versions--light and dark, 14 single animations, rainbow water with sound, and resize by edit, as well as copy. Here, you can see this amazing design.

Once again, Zuri Jewelry has given us a stunning set, the Sari in Mocha/Emerald, which compliments this Pelagic gown to complete perfection. The Tikki Head Piece also comes in Emerald/Mocha, which has green pearls instead of mocha. The Mocha/Emerald pieces include the tiara, the head piece, the necklace, and the earrings. The bracelets come in Emerald/Mocha, with green pearls. All the pieces of this set can be bought separately.

Here, you can see my intricate ensemble of Mocha/Emerald pieces. Such an elegant and regal set from Zuri.

Zuri is well-known for finishing the backs of her pieces, and here you can see the backs of the earrings and the dangle on the clasp of the necklace.

Now, for a closer look at the Emerald/Mocha bracelets. So much detailed work has gone into the Sari set.

You also can see the cute nails from Flippant. These are the Serendipity nails, with gold glitter shamrocks. Here is the complete set of choices for the Serendipity set.

The theme for Swank this month is Luck of the Irish, naturally enough, and you can find exclusive designs from nearly 100 designers for fashion, beauty, home and garden, and even something for children. Everything is 300 lindens or less. Many of the designers also have placed gifts for the shoppers, as well, and there is a special treat this month: GACHAS! I will not admit to being a gacha addict or anything like that, of course.
